Privacy Policy
Last updated: 17 May 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Learnovi ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses and protects your information when you use our website (the "Service"). By using the Service you agree to this policy.
Who we are
Learnovi provides free CeMAP revision notes and study resources. We are the data controller for personal data processed through this site. If you have any questions, contact us at learnovi@outlook.com.
Information we collect
You can browse free lessons, cheatsheets and the blog without an account. An account unlocks the Dashboard, adaptive practice, saved notes, Learnovi Pro tools and access to any paid products you purchase.
- Account information — email address and basic profile details when you sign up. Sign-in is via email and password or Google.
- Learning data — lesson progress, bookmarks, practice answers, mastery scores and topic completion.
- Notes — any personal study notes you save while signed in.
- Learnovi Pro AI usage — prompts you send to AI tools (tutor, explain, flashcards, predicted questions, past paper) and the responses returned.
- Purchase records — which paid products you've bought (Paddle stores billing details separately — see "Payments and Paddle" below).
- Newsletter — your email address if you subscribe, including confirmation status.
- Feedback & support — messages you send via feedback forms or email.
- Usage data — pages viewed and lessons opened, used to improve the Service.
- Device and log data — IP address, browser type, operating system and timestamps.
- Cookies and similar technologies — used for authentication, preferences and analytics.
How we use your information
- To provide and maintain the Service, including free lessons and paid products.
- To personalise adaptive practice and surface your weak areas.
- To deliver Learnovi Pro AI tools and store your results.
- To send the newsletter where you've opted in, and let you unsubscribe at any time.
- To respond to feedback and support requests.
- To analyse usage so we can improve content and performance.
- To display advertising that helps keep the free side of Learnovi free.
- To communicate important updates about the Service.
AI features (Learnovi Pro)
Learnovi Pro tools (tutor, explain, flashcards, predicted questions, past paper) send your prompts to third-party AI model providers via the Lovable AI Gateway to generate responses. Prompts and responses may be retained to provide the feature and improve reliability. Please do not include real personal data about clients or other identifiable individuals in your prompts.
Newsletter
If you subscribe to the newsletter, we send a confirmation email (double opt-in) and store your email until you unsubscribe. Every email contains an unsubscribe link.
Legal bases (UK GDPR)
We rely on: your consent (e.g. for non-essential cookies), our legitimate interests (improving the Service, preventing abuse), and performance of a contract (providing account features you sign up for).
Cookies and advertising
We use essential cookies to operate the site and optional cookies for analytics and advertising. We use Google AdSense to display ads; Google and its partners may set cookies to show you relevant ads and measure their performance. See Google's advertising policies for more information. You can control cookies through your browser settings or via our cookie preferences.
Sharing your information
We do not sell your personal data. We share information only with service providers that help us run the Service (hosting, analytics, advertising), and where required by law. These providers are bound by appropriate confidentiality and data-protection terms.
Payments and Paddle
When you purchase a paid product, the transaction is processed by our reseller and Merchant of Record, Paddle.com Market Limited ("Paddle"). Paddle acts as an independent data controller for payment, billing and tax information, and may receive personal and billing data you provide at checkout (such as name, email address, billing address, country, and payment details). Paddle uses this data to process your order, prevent fraud, comply with tax and legal obligations, and handle refunds and customer service for purchases. See Paddle's Privacy Policy and Buyer Terms for details.
Data retention
We keep account data for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period after closure to comply with legal obligations. Aggregated, anonymised analytics may be retained indefinitely.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to the processing of your personal data, and the right to data portability. To exercise these rights, email learnovi@outlook.com. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
Children
Learnovi is intended for users aged 16 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from children under this age.
Security
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data. However, no online service can be guaranteed 100% secure.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date above shows when it was most recently changed. Significant changes will be highlighted on the site.
